Bath car park to be partially demolished

The partial demolition of the multi-storey car park at Avon Street has started as part of the wider Bath Quays regeneration project.

The upper levels of the car park are to be removed after the discovery of extensive structural deterioration which has made the cost of remedial work unrealistic.

After demolition of the upper two storeys, the ground floor level of the car park will be refurbished.

When the work is completed, the revised Avon Street car park will re-open with a total of 291...
