The Government has launched a ‘Jet Zero Strategy’ which, it says, commits UK domestic aviation to achieving net zero emissions by 2040, with all airports in England becoming zero-emission by the same year.
The strategy will enable “guilt-free” air travel, according to the Government, by “delivering system efficiencies to new technologies”, allowing the aviation industry to stay below pre-pandemic levels of carbon emissions.
