Contrasting reactions to fuel duty cut

Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced an immediate cut to fuel duty of 5p a litre in the Spring Statement on Wednesday. 

The move had a lukewarm response from the motoring world who argued it should have been bigger while environmentalists criticised it for sending the wrong signals about meeting net zero objectives.
