Work has just started on the replacement of the footbridge over the River Severn, between the villages of Highley and Alveley. The 90-metre concrete bridge will be for the use of pedestrians, cyclists and dismounted horseriders. Dismounting blocks will be provided at each end of the bridge. The existing bridge will be demolished following the opening of the new bridge in September.
