Disability campaigners are seeking to mount a legal challenge against City of York Council’s decision to permanently close its footstreets to Blue Badge holders.

At an executive meeting on 18 November, councillors voted unanimously to permanently remove the exemption offered to Blue Badge holders which allowed them to park in the city’s footstreets.
