People required to travel further for booster jabs

The NHS has increased the distances people need to travel to receive a Covid-19 vaccination, leading to more transport demand and concerns that some people could be unprotected.

Millions of vaccines in the first round of mass inoculation were of the AstraZeneca type, which required storage at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. This type was easy to transport for administering at local venues and to the housebound.
