The UK faces a shortfall of nearly 250,000 electric vehicle chargepoints by 2032 if the current rate of growth is not accelerated, warns UK100, a network of mayors and local leaders.

Research commissioned by UK100 found that the UK currently has 24,374 public charging points. However, to meet growing demand for electric vehicles, 325,000 chargers will be needed in just over a decade.
