GWR`s new station car park at Taunton

A 400-space car park has opened at Taunton rail station in Somerset. The multi-storey was built for Great Western Railway (GWR) by John Sisk & Sons.

The car park is the latest phase in the regeneration of the area around the station, a project, which is designed to support the town’s economic development plans. GWR is working with Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), Somerset County Council and Somerset West and Taunton Council to deliver the scheme.
