Perry Barr railway station to close for one year

Perry Barr railway station in Birmingham has closed for a year to allow for refurbishment work, ahead of the Commonwealth Games in 2022. The closure expected to last until May next year.

The existing station will be demolished to make way for a new station building in a development that is being led by Transport for West Midlands and the West Midlands Rail Executive.
