The City of Edinburgh Council is to consult on implementing more 20mph limits.
Edinburgh implemented a citywide programme to lower limits from 30 to 20mph between 2016 and 2018. About 80 per cent of the city’s roads are now 20mph.
The council will now consider the case for implementing 20mph limits on roads that retain a 30mph limit. The 30mph limit is likely to be retained if:
