£285m concrete roads contracts

Highways England has announced two contracts worth £285m to upgrade the concrete surface of roads across the country over the next five years. Concrete roads, mainly built in the 1960s and 1970s, make up almost 400 miles (four per cent) of England’s motorway and major A-road network.
