The government has invited bids for a share of £20m to promote electric vehicle innovations.
The DfT, through the Office for Zero Emissions, will allocate £18m to projects through the Transitioning to Zero Emission Vehicles (TZEV) competition, delivered through Innovate UK.
A further £2m will support small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) innovate in emerging zero-emission vehicle technologies through the Niche Vehicle Network (NVN).
