The Government has announced a reduction in the level of plug-in car grant from £3,000 to £2,500.
The DfT said the reduction would ensure the grant benefitted more drivers. Since 2011, the government has provided close to £1.3bn in plug-in vehicle grant funding to bring ultra-low emission vehicles onto UK roads, supporting the purchase of more than 285,000 vehicles.
