The House of Lords science and technology committee has invited evidence for an inquiry into the use of batteries and fuel cells for decarbonisation.
The committee says both technologies will be particularly important in land transport “where the number of battery-electric vehicles in the UK will need to increase from around 5 per cent of current sales to 100 per cent by 2032”.
