Ford this week pledged to sell only electric cars in Europe from 2030, a policy that supports the UK Government’s ambition to end the sale of new pure petrol or diesel vehicles from that date.
The US car giant said that by mid-2026, 100 per cent of its passenger vehicle range in Europe will be zero-emissions capable, all-electric or plug-in hybrid.
