Hull rules out new rail station

Hull City Council officers have played down the chances of building a new railway station at Bricknell Avenue, between Hull and Cottingham, on the line to Beverley and Scarborough. Mark Jones, Hull’s corporate director of regeneration, told councillors the station was unlikely to have a strong business case and there was “no indication that the DfT will make further funding available to support building of new stations”.
