The West Midlands Combined Authority is to install a pantograph charger for battery electric buses in Wolverhampton.
Suppliers have been invited to tender for a framework contract to supply pantograph chargers. The framework has an initial term of four years but with the potential for two further two-year extensions.
One charger is expected to be ordered for Wolverhampton next month. Subsidised services are likely to be the first to use the facility.
