Road loses grant after delay for ‘greening’

Birmingham City Council has lost access to funding for a radial road dualling scheme because of a redesign to make the project better for active travel and public transport.  

The A457 Dudley Road improvement scheme involves dualling about 1.25 miles of the road between the Ladywood Middleway/Spring Hill junction, on the city’s ring road, and Cape Hill on the boundary with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.
