The London Borough of Ealing’s Labour administration has rejected a Conservative call for the low traffic neighbourbood (LTN) programme of residential street closures to be abandoned.

Ealing introduced LTNs across many residential areas this summer using experimental traffic regulation orders (ETROs) that required no prior consultation. Large planters and bollards were installed to close streets to motor vehicles while allowing pedestrians and cyclists to pass through.
