Cameras enforce Cardiff school streets

Cardiff Council has commenced camera enforcement of a number of school street traffic restrictions. The council is enforcing the restrictions itself using the moving traffic offence powers it has been granted by the Welsh Government. London boroughs can also enforce school streets but councils in England outside London cannot because the Government has yet to grant them moving traffic offence powers, The DfT said this summer that it will do so (LTT 07 Aug). ...
