The Government should take “swift action” to legalise the use of privately-owned e-scooters if the rental trials currently underway demonstrate them to be safe for riders and other road users, the House of Commons transport committee has said.
The committee’s report on e-scooters recommends that the Government puts in place a “sensible and proportionate” regulatory framework to legalise e-scooter use in public places.
