TfL trials new traffic control technology

Transport for London and Siemens Mobility are trialling a new adaptive traffic control technology.

Until now, traffic signals across the capital have been managed using information gathered from inductive loops buried in the road that detect vehicles approaching, a system known as SCOOT.
