Oxford consults on lower NO2 limit

Oxford City Council claims to be the first council to propose a citywide target for nitrogen dioxide concentrations lower than the national objective.

The national air quality strategy sets an objective for the annual mean of nitrogen dioxide to be below 40μg/m3. Oxford’s new draft air quality action plan just published for consultation sets a target of 30μg/m3 by 2025.
