‘Include accessibility in Bus Open Data’

22 August 2020

The DfT is being urged to include information about whether buses and bus stops are accessible to wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility in its new Bus Open Data Service. Lord Holmes is pressing the DfT to set a timeline for the information to be reported. His call has been endorsed by SkedGo, the Australian-based Mobility as a Service (MaaS) tech-enabler. Operators have to publish data on timetables and stops by the end of this year but accessibility information is not required.
