Granite City proposes Glasgow-style LEZ

Aberdeen City Council is proposing to introduce a low emission zone modelled on Glasgow’s scheme, beginning with buses but eventually extending to other vehicle classes. 

The council is to apply to the Traffic Commissioner for a traffic regulation condition (TRC) requiring 20 per cent of all local bus services in Aberdeen city centre to be at least Euro VI by 31 December this year. Euro VI has applied to new buses since September 2015.
