The cost and practicality of different forms of zero emission HGVs, buses and coaches are to be explored in a study for the Committee on Climate Change (CCC).
The CCC says battery electric is the most promising technology for light duty vehicles. But the most cost-effective technology to decarbonise the heavy duty vehicle sector (goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, buses and coaches) “is not yet clear”.
