All taxis licensed for the first time by Cambridge city and South Cambridgeshire district councils may soon have to be ultra-low or zero emission.
Cambridge City Council has introduced the requirement to its licensing policy from April 2020 and South Oxfordshire District councillors last month considered setting the requirement from October 2021. An ultra-low emission vehicle is one that emits less than 75 grammes of carbon dioxide per kilometre.
