Transport for the North has urged all political parties to back plans for a huge investment in the region’s rail network in next month’s General Election.
In an open letter to the parties, TfN chief executive Barry White says the north of England’s economy needs Northern Powerhouse Rail and HS2. “Delivered together, in lock-step, they’d amount to a rail revolution for the ‘One North’ economy we set out to achieve in 2015.
