THE DfT and Transport for Wales have separately invited bids from innovators for help with accelerating the development of new products to improve the transport system.
The DfT has set aside £960,000 for the Transport-Technology Research and Innovation Grant (T-TRIG).
Targeted investments of up to £30,000 are on offer for each project, with the aim of helping start-ups and academics to get their ideas to market quicker.
