West of England opts for flexible bus partnership

The West of England Combined Authority (WECA) is on course to implement a flexible bus partnership where constituent local authorities can arrange their own deals with operators.

Bristol City Council (BCC) proposes a Bus Deal with First, and any other participating operator, which would double peak hour frequency on core routes and introduce more and cleaner buses, while infrastructure would be improved to support the proposed growth in bus commuting.
