Bristol City’s Youth Council has voted in favour of bus franchising for the West of England. Youth Council chair Daniel McTiernan said: “We had a list of concerns that we decided would be more easily solved if the control of the bus service was held accountable, and run in the public interest.” The youth council also wants the eligibility for child fares raised to 18 to reflect national legislation requiring young people to stay in full-time education until that age....
