Leicester City Council is inviting bids for a dock-based public bike hire contract.
The council announced in March that it had reached agreement with Santander bank to sponsor a scheme, which will also be part-funded by the council’s Transforming Cities Fund grant from the DfT.
Says the tender notice: “The exact scale of the scheme will be determined by the tender process but we anticipate a scheme with 500+ cycles over 50+ docking stations across Leicester.”
