The Corporation of London has approved a plan to make a covered street in the City open to zero emission capable vehicles only.

Beech Street outside the Barbican Tube station is designated as a local access street. “The covered roadway is a widely recognised, significant architectural feature in the area, but also one that is problematic particularly in terms of air quality, appearance and pedestrian experience,” says the Corporation.
