DfT invites bids to station access fund

The DfT has invited the rail industry to bid for a share of £20m for small-scale improvements to make rail stations across Britain more accessible to disabled people. The funding will pay for measures such as tactile paving, handrails and ‘Harrington Humps’ that increase platform heights. Up to £1m of Government support is available per bid.
