Transport for London has assigned all 1,250 of its top level £10,000 payments to help taxi drivers replace their diesel vehicles with electric versions.
In all, TfL says it has received applications for about £30m of the £42m funding pot.The maximum individual payments still available are £8,000.
In addition to the TfL grant, taxi drivers can benefit from a £7,500 plug-in grant from the Government.
