Coventry presents revised NO2 plan to Defra

Coventry City Council is refusing to accept the Government’s instruction to implement a class D charging clean air zone (CAZ) to comply with EU nitrogen dioxide limits.

Labour-controlled Coventry told the Government in February that a package of measures without a CAZ could deliver compliance in 2024, the same year that a package featuring a Class D CAZ – covering almost all vehicles including cars – was expected to do so (LTT 01 Mar).
