Transport policy-makers ‘must grasp power of algorithms’

Transport policy needs to recognise the arrival of the age of algorithms and policy- makers must become algorithmically literate to deal with a range of challenges from machine-driven systems, Governments have been warned.

A new report by the International Transport Forum, presented last week at the global summit of transport ministers in Leipzig, Germany, points out that automated decision-making is becoming more and more prevalent.
