New date for Flex trains in Wales

Transport for Wales is aiming to introduce its Class 769 Flex trains in September, following major delays to testing of the type. 

Rolling stock company Porterbrook announced in 2016 that it would convert some of its Class 319 electric units, formerly used for Thameslink services, for operation on non-electrified lines by fitting two diesel powered alternators to each four-car unit.
