Barnsley extends permits to all roads

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is to extend its permit system for roadworks to all adopted highways. The current scheme, introduced in 2012, covers only 320 of the borough’s busiest streets (type 1, 2 and ‘traffic sensitive streets’) and is part of a Yorkshire-wide common scheme.
