In the ‘frequently asked questions’ section of Derby City Council’s web pages for the A52 Wyvern transport improvement scheme, the question is posed, ‘How did the scheme get to this stage?’ Last week city councillors reflected on a slightly different question, namely, ‘How did the scheme get into this state?’, as they considered the findings of an audit report into the troubled project.
