The biggest award – £6.4m – will see 25 hydrogen fuel cell buses introduced in the Liverpool city region, a hydrogen fuel cell station built in St Helens, and five more hydrogen buses delivered to Aberdeen, where hydrogen buses are already in use. The project backers are BOC Ltd, Merseytravel, Aberdeen City Council, and Arcola Energy.
