Transport for London has back-tracked on a late change to the road safety targets in borough’s third Local Implementation Plans (LIPs).
The mayor’s transport strategy sets a target for a 65 per cent reduction in the number of people killed or seriously injured (KSI) on the capital’s roads by 2022, against a 2005-09 baseline. This is then ramped up to a 70 percent reduction by 2030 against the 2010-14 baseline, and then zero KSIs by 2041.
