Passenger numbers at East Midlands Parkway station are less than half those forecast in the business case that justified its construction, data from the Office of Rail and Road reveal.
The number of passengers using the station fell 2.5 per cent in 2017/18. There were 338,456 passenger exits and entries, compared with 347,252 in the previous year. The ORR also records 26,045 interchanges at the station in 2017/18.
