Scots default 20mph Bill ‘too costly and will confuse drivers’

A PArliamentary Bill to make 20mph the default speed limit across most built-up roads in Scotland will create confusion for drivers and be unaffordable for councils, says Fife Council. 

Mark Ruskell, the Green MSP for Mid Scotland and Fife, introduced his Restricted Roads (20mph Speed Limit) (Scotland) Bill to the Scottish Parliament last September, having secured the necessary backing of 25 MSPs.
