SEStran studies new rail station in Fife

Consultant SYSTRA has been appointed to explore the case for a new rail station at Newburgh in Fife, on the single track Ladybank to Perth line. The consultant will report to a project team of the South East Scotland transport partnership (SEStran), Fife Council and the Newburgh Rail Group. The work is being funded by the Scottish Government’s Local Rail Development Fund. The original Newburgh station closed in 1955. ...
