Stagecoach Group is to sell its North American division, comprising bus and coach operations, to Variant Equity Advisors for £212.9m. Revenues in the year to 27 October 2018 were £460.3m and operating profit £15.9m. Stagecoach will use the sale proceeds to reduce consolidated net debt. Chief executive Martin Griffiths said the sale would allow the group to “focus more closely on the significant opportunities for growth in the UK”. ...
