The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy’s press release announcing funding for a driverless bus project between Fife and Edinburgh says the bus will travel across the “Forth Bridge – a UNESCO World Heritage site”. If that’s the case then passengers are in for a bumpy ride because the Forth Bridge is the rail bridge, which was granted World Heritage Status in 2015. Perhaps the buses ought to have drivers after all.
