The Committee on Climate Change (CCC) is inviting views about whether it should tell the Government to set a target for zero net carbon emissions.
The governments of the UK, Scotland and Wales wrote to CCC chairman Lord Deben in October, requesting that he set out options for when the UK should seek to achieve a zero greenhouse gas emissions target, and whether now was the right time for the UK to set such a target.
