Climate change activists brought traffic in parts of central London to a halt this week in an effort to force the Government to take stronger action to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
Protestors from the group Extinction Rebellion blocked bridges over the Thames at the weekend and followed this up with further action from Wednesday to Friday. A number of arrests were made.
