Wales earmarks £2m for EV charging

Rapid charging facilities will be installed along strategic roads in Wales to give drivers the confidence to undertake long journeys in electric vehicles. The minority Labour Welsh Government, with support from Plaid Cymru, has earmarked £2m in its two-year budget agreement for the publicly accessible charging points, which will be installed “by 2020” at locations on or near strategic roads, particularly the main north-south and east-west routes.
